Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a senior/substation engineering supervisor to lead an engineering and design team for substation projects. The role combines direct billable client work with administrative leadership to the manager or director, including training, performance appraisal, and revenue accountability.

Responsibilities include leading complex multi-discipline projects, maintaining engineering standards, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and industry codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Professional Engineer (PE) and NCEES record. Knowledge of substation design under 69kV+.
• 5–7+ years experience in substation engineering; strong leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory and engineering/technical leadership to a team of engineers and designers.
• Perform project management and Responsible Charge engineering duties (sealing designs).
• Manage project schedules, revenue, and profitability goals.
• Lead recruiting, training, and performance evaluation; support business development.
• Ensure adherence to professional codes, standards, and Pike Engineering safety policies.
