Job summary

Pike Engineering seeks a Substation Engineer to provide technical leadership for transmission substation projects, battery energy storage systems, and solar collector substations. The role includes direct billable project work and project management support, with mentoring for junior engineers and collaboration with clients and cross-discipline teams.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
ABET accreditation recognized for engineering programs
5–7 years of experience as an engineer in electrical power delivery

Responsibilities

Engineering/technical expertise and guidance in problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
Prepare thorough technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches.
Continuously improve engineering and professional knowledge and performance.
Will understand and create substation physical layout drawing packages for construction.
Support company goals and represent the company professionally.
Interact with customers’ engineers and technical personnel daily.
Develop and maintain professional client relationships.
Monitor deliverables and schedules; present solutions to clients.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
