Job summary

Exelon Corporation is seeking a General Engineer to lead and support engineering efforts across utility infrastructure, including electric and gas systems. The role covers data collection, analysis, and cross‑functional coordination to deliver compliant engineering solutions.

You will influence projects, support safety and reliability goals, and contribute to budgeting and stakeholder coordination. A strong background in electrical/mechanical engineering and field testing is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or PE license required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Familiarity with complex field test equipment.
• 4–7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes and advanced engineering principles.
• Engineer in Training or advanced degree/certification considered for experience reduction.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity under guidance; collects data, interprets results, and presents recommendations.
• Leads small engineering projects or tasks with cross-functional teams to meet technical requirements.
• Provides technical support and consultation for design, installation, and maintenance of systems and equipment.
• Participates in evaluation and improvement of technical systems and processes.
