Exelon is seeking a Section Engineer to lead technical planning and execution of electric/gas infrastructure projects. You will mentor engineers, champion safety, and coordinate cross-functional teams across major utility projects.

The role emphasizes advanced engineering principles, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure reliable energy delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 7 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Experience with regulations, codes, standards, methods and advanced engineering principles.
• Experience with gas-insulated substations, metal-clad switchgear and circuit breakers.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly technical consultation and training on complex areas.
• Direct work activities of project teams on large engineering projects.
• Provide independent analysis and may supervise multi-discipline teams.
• Participate in department/project planning and monitor performance.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to engineers.
• Engage with industry groups to stay abreast of new technologies.
