Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer in Tampa, FL. You will join project teams designing high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems, with duties spanning design, specifications, and coordination with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with strong preference in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace/Chemical Engineering or related coursework
• Understanding of practical application of electrical engineering and technology
• Knowledge of design techniques and drawings production
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work on project teams with engineers designing new HV and EHV substations and transmission systems
• Involve in power transmission designs and procurement specifications
• Potential travel to client/vendor offices and site locations for reviews and field verification
