Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Substation Electrical Engineering Intern for our Spring, TX office. The 12-week summer internship starts May 17, 2027, with flexible start date.

The role supports the Substation Team with basic electrical engineering tasks, field work, and preliminary design calculations while you gain hands-on experience under senior staff. You will participate in our Developing Professionals Network, receive mentorship, and build professional connections in power delivery and advisory

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with anticipated Aug 2027 or later graduation.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Interest in Electrical Engineering and WSP projects; strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Collect and maintain project documentation; participate in training.
