Job summary

WSP USA is offering a full-time Electrical Engineering (Substation) Intern position in Fort Worth, TX as part of the Summer Internship Program. The 12-week program begins May 17, 2027, with a flexible start date.

Interns work alongside senior staff, gaining exposure to real projects and mentorship through the Developing Professionals Network. Applicants must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program, be 18+, and authorize work in the United States at internship

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Authorized to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
• 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally to engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical, social, and ethical skills through varied tasks.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Note: no relocation or housing assistance provided.
