Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for substations. The role involves design, protection and control work, and coordination with clients and teams across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation designs with emphasis on protection & control and continuous improvement.
• Develop protection and control deliverables (relays, one-line diagrams, wiring).
• Produce physical design deliverables (yard layout, grounding, buildings, power systems).
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and subcontractors; support BD activities.
