Black & Veatch seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to lead substation design and power electronics for FACTS/STATCOM/HVDC projects. You will guide distribution, sub transmission, and transmission level designs, applying recognized standards and collaborating with owners and OEMs.

The role requires a PE license, 5+ years of related experience, and strong communication skills to coordinate safety, quality, and budgets in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
• Hybrid/flexible work options may be available after onboarding.

Responsabilités

• Function as technical lead substation design engineer for FACTS projects (distribution, sub transmission and transmission level voltage classes).
• Define project requirements and review deliverables per safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO/RTO).
• Collaborate with owner and OEM resources and bring non-standard design issues up to speed.
• Convey technical information to project team and stakeholders with varying expertise.
• Lead internal owner-engineering discussions to close technical or project management topics.
