Job summary

RMS Energy Co. seeks a Substation Engineer to lead design and execution of substation modernization projects in the United States.

You will act as technical lead and primary customer contact, guiding projects from concept through delivery with high-quality engineering solutions. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience with protection and control, a bachelor’s degree, and experience with relay and control-system upgrades.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience with protection and control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience with relay replacements, breaker replacements, RTU replacements, and control system modernization.
• NETA Level 2 or 3, or FE/EIT preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for design support.

Responsibilities

• Design and support brownfield substation upgrades and modernization.
• Develop P&C designs for transmission and distribution substations.
• Lead customer communications and manage project execution.
• Prepare scopes, estimates, schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Review drawings for codes and customer specifications.
• Support field activities, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
