Job summary
RMS Energy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead technical design projects and support critical energy infrastructure across the U.S. The remote-capable role blends deep design experience with field insight, delivering comprehensive power system solutions from analysis to commissioning.

Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in power system design, relay settings, installation packages, and commissioning support.
- Strong experience with AutoCAD and power system modeling tools (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP).
- Knowledge of protection and control schemes, substation layouts, and electrical studies.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze complex electrical power systems and substation upgrades.
- Develop electrical and substation equipment specifications, drawing packages, and installation plans.
- Perform short-circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies using SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP.
- Generate control circuit designs and develop relay settings for electromechanical and digital relays.
- Travel to job sites to collect field data, support installation, and assist in commissioning.
