Job summary
RMS Energy is seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to lead and execute substation modernization projects from concept through delivery. You will design P&C solutions, manage customer communications, and coordinate with field teams to ensure high-quality engineering outcomes.
The role requires 3–5 years in electrical engineering with substation design and protection & control, plus a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 3–5 years of hands-on electrical engineering with substation design and protection & control.
- Experience with relay replacements, breaker replacements, RTU replacements, and control system modernization.
Responsibilities
- Design and support brownfield substation upgrades and modernization projects.
- Develop Protection & Control (P&C) designs for transmission and distribution substations.
- Serve as primary engineering contact for customers and provide technical updates throughout project execution.
- Prepare project scopes, engineering estimates, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Review engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with codes, standards, and customer specifications.
- Support field activities, commissioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution as needed.
