Toth and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer I/II to support planning, design, and implementation of electrical substations for utility, industrial, and renewable energy clients.

You will work under the direction of a PE and Project Managers to create technically sound, constructible, and code-compliant designs. Responsibilities include developing protection schematics, wiring diagrams, and material lists, performing calculations, and ensuring project quality.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support substation component design including yard layouts, grounding, and protection systems.
• Develop protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, cable lists, and panel layouts.
• Prepare calculations and bills of materials from engineering documents for planning, construction, operation, and maintenance.
• Perform quality reviews to ensure accuracy, omissions, or compliance issues.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
