Job summary

Toth and Associates, Inc. seeks a Substation Engineer I/II to support planning, design, and implementation of electrical substation projects for utility, industrial, and renewable energy clients in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

You will work under a PE and project managers to develop technically sound, constructible designs that comply with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards while expanding your technical depth and independence. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0–4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing substation components such as yard layouts, grounding, protection, and control building arrangements.
• Develop protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Produce design drawings, calculations, and bills of material for planning and construction.
• Perform engineering calculations including voltage drop, grounding analysis, and cable pulling.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards; conduct quality reviews.
