Job summary

CoVolt Power in the United States seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design LV/HV/EHV power systems for substation SCADA and automation projects. The role leads engineers and drafters, coordinates multi-discipline design, and ensures on-site testing and commissioning.

Applicants should have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in transmission/substation design, and familiarity with NEC/IEEE codes. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in design of transmission level substations (34.5–500 kV).
• Experience with protection and control systems for substations.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NESC, OSHA, NERC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design and implement substation SCADA projects.
• Coordinate engineering flow between disciplines and project management.
• Translate client specifications into substation SCADA designs and equipment specs.
• Oversee on-site testing, commissioning, and data system configuration.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters in SCADA engineering practices.
• Ensure documentation, standards, and vendor interfaces are properly maintained.
