Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Substation Construction Manager to lead on client projects and ensure constructability, safety, and regulatory compliance for 12kV+ substations. The role requires coordinating contractor work, field decisions, and site readiness, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day field activities, monitoring cycle time and cost targets, and ensuring contractor conformance to contract terms and technical specs across greenfield and brownfield sites.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and safety standards (OSHA)
• Experience coordinating with contractors and managing field crews
• Proficient with MS Office and Bluebeam for project documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide construction oversight for substation and distribution line projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company specs, and regulations.
• Schedule outages and coordinate with utilities and permitting agencies.
• Document field changes and maintain records in project systems.
• Maintain client communication and report project status regularly.
