Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Manager in our Program Management department to lead large electric substation projects, overseeing the project lifecycle from inception through closeout. You will manage scope, schedule, and cost while coordinating across multiple engineering/procurement/construction activities.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience, including 3+ years directing major engineering and construction efforts, with exceptional leadership and the ability to navigate complex

Qualifications

• PMP certification is desired.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines by prioritizing.
• Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports.
• Proven experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying solutions, and assessing project consequences.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, communications, time management, and organizational skills.
• Produces consistent results with high work standards and business understanding.
• Demonstrates commitment, self-confidence and integrity in delivery.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex electric substation projects
• Lead projects through all internal and external processes, and navigate the project life cycle
• Oversee project scope, schedule, and cost
• Accountable for key project decision-making
• Direct and coach a collaborative project team to meet scope, schedule, and cost
• Lead project meetings and maintain the project plan throughout the life cycle
• Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders as required
• Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
• Manage RFIs and action items efficiently
• Ensure adequate resources are available to support the project
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
