Job summary

Omaha Public Power District seeks a Substation Modification & Compliance Engineer II to conduct independent engineering analysis and support substation maintenance coordination and compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• A valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle(s).
• Demonstrated ability to complete essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Review breaker, transformer, and oil test results, identify root-cause issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update the Protection System Maintenance Program policy and ensure records reflect current requirements.
• Evaluate and update substation asset data in Cascade to improve maintenance planning accuracy.
• Assist Field Supervisors with sequencing and scheduling work orders to align tasks with outage windows and project timelines.
• Prepare engineering documentation: reports, calculations, and drawings to support maintenance decisions.
• Collect and perform preliminary analysis on maintenance performance data for program metrics.
• Support compliance documentation and audit preparation for NERC, SIP, environmental oil policies and regulatory bodies.
