WSP USA invites applications for a Full‑time Structural/Civil Engineering Intern (Substation) in Oradell, NJ. Part of the Summer Internship Program, the 12‑week session starts May 17, 2027, with a flexible start date.

Undergraduate or graduate students may apply to gain hands-on project exposure and mentorship from senior staff. You will assist in design calculations, fieldwork, and documentation while learning power delivery and substations within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in Civil Engineering undergraduate program with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated interest in Civil Engineering and desire to gain project experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional writing skills.
• Ability to take direction from mentors and work within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Apply structural engineering principles to design structures and foundations for substations.
• Assist with project research, field work, and design calculations and analyses.
• Help prepare final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to safety policies.
