Job summary

Substation Engineering Company (SECo) is seeking a mid-level Civil Structural Engineer with direct substation experience to design concrete foundations and steel structures powering the national grid. This non-supervisory role emphasizes technical depth and collaboration with design and drafting teams.

You will work with STAAD, MathCAD and LPILE to deliver compliant, constructible solutions. A PE license and 3+ years in substation projects are required.

Qualifications

• Candidate holds PE licensure and a civil/structural engineering background.
• Experience with substation projects is required.
• Proficiency with STAAD, MathCAD and LPILE or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and calculations for concrete foundations and steel support structures.
• Analyze structures using STAAD, MathCAD, and LPILE.
• Create and review deliverables with designers and drafters.
• Ensure designs meet ASCE 113 and applicable codes.
• Collaborate across teams for timely project delivery.
