Job summary

Substation Engineering Company (SECo) is seeking a mid-level Civil Structural Engineer with direct substation experience to design concrete foundations and steel structures powering the national grid. This non-supervisory role emphasizes technical depth and collaboration with design and drafting teams.

You will work with STAAD, MathCAD and LPILE to deliver compliant, constructible solutions. A PE license and 3+ years in substation projects are required.

Qualifications

• Candidate holds PE licensure and a civil/structural engineering background.
• Experience with substation projects is required.
• Proficiency with STAAD, MathCAD and LPILE or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and calculations for concrete foundations and steel support structures.

We’re looking for a Civil Structural Engineer with direct substation experience to join our growing team. In this mid-level role, you’ll design concrete foundations and steel structures for substations that power the national grid. This is a technical, non-supervisory position ideal for engineers looking to deepen their impact on major utility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering designs and calculations for concrete foundations and steel support structures
• Analyze structures using tools like STAAD, MathCAD, and LPILE
• Create and review engineering deliverables, working closely with designers and drafters
• Ensure all designs meet ASCE 113 and other applicable codes and standards
