Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 1–2 years of civil structural engineering calculations experience.
• AutoCAD and MicroStation experience a plus.
• Experience in transmission, distribution and generating stations is a plus.
• Strong analytical and computer skills; ability to identify necessary software.

Responsibilities

• Develop overall conceptual design plans in the initial development phase of new projects.
• Work with renewable energy developers and other clients with support specific to schedules and cost estimates.
• Design foundations using commercially available software such as LPILE.
• Develop steel structure models for rigid bus and equipment supports.
• Perform company’s QA/QC processes.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with external partners; present information to clients.
• Direct and/or participate in client meetings and job site visits to collect or deliver design data.
• Mentor less experienced staff on technical and project management skills.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
