Job summary

Quanta Services, a leading energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Designer – Substation to support design projects across our QISG platform. You will contribute to 2D/3D design tasks and ensure accuracy and standards compliance under a Lead Designer.

Ideal candidate has 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design for substations, experience with AutoCAD and SDS, and strong teamwork. Travel may be required for project-related site visits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent; Eng Tech is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years in electric utility CAD/design for HV substations.
• Experience with 3D design software is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support substation design projects from inception to completion across the QISG platform.
• Utilize 3D and/or smart design software for substation design.
• Ensure quality by following standards and QA procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafting teams on deliverables.
• Travel occasionally for project-related site visits.
• Learn and apply corporate engineering practices.
