Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Mid-level 3D Drafter to join our Industrial Commercial Energy Team in Buford and Atlanta to build and maintain precise 3D models for electrical substation projects. You will interpret 2D drawings and LiDAR data and collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy and constructability.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar software (SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, Fusion 360).

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2–5 years related experience.
• Experience in a 3D modeling environment.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar software (SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, Fusion 360).
• Ability to read/interprete technical drawings and specifications.
• LiDAR/point cloud workflows experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D substation models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Interpret 2D drawings and LiDAR/point cloud data to produce precise 3D geometry.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure alignment with project scope and standards.
• Organize/d Maintain drawing files per CAD/drafting standards.
• Prepare plan sheets, details, and visualizations for design deliverables.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
