BayMark Health Services, Inc. seeks a Compassionate Substance Use Counselor to guide patients through medically assisted programs and counseling techniques for opioid addiction.

You will conduct group and individual sessions, support crisis management, and evaluate progress, collaborating with doctors and therapists for optimal outcomes. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care in an outpatient setting, with access to AI-assisted documentation tools and a strong emphasis on evidence-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with counseling experience required.
• Certification (CAC, CADC or CADC II) and 1 year of supervision required for Associate/HS diploma path.
• Previous experience with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Develop and review initial treatment plans with patients.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services.
• Involve families in recovery when possible.
• Address patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience

Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience

Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with a current certification and 1 year of supervision
