Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies in an outpatient setting.

The role involves individual and group counseling, collaboration with medical staff, and ongoing assessment of patient progress. The counselor will conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, develop aftercare plans, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires CADC I or higher certification in Georgia.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals.
• Ability to counsel 50–60 patients monthly.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Criminal background check & drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Conduct initial assessments for service eligibility.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Establish and review initial treatment plans with patients.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per regulations.
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses to support patient outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
