Job summary
La Frontera Center Inc. (EMPACT-SPC) in Mesa, AZ seeks a Substance Abuse Therapist to provide psychotherapy, assess and diagnose, and lead group sessions.
Requires a Master’s in a relevant field, AZBBHE licensure preferred, and experience with substance abuse treatment. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; valid AZ driver license and fingerprint clearance required; some evenings may be required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
- AZBBHE licensure is preferred.
- Experience with substance abuse treatment and group facilitation is preferred.
- Must be organized, reliable, trauma-informed, and able to individualize treatment.
- Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills.
- Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility required.
- Arizona driver license with clean record in past 3 years.
- Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and families.
- Facilitate IOP, SOP, and Aftercare groups using the agency curriculum.
- Offer individual and/or family therapy as needed.
- Utilize community resources and referrals to enhance treatment.
