Job summary

EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center, part of La Frontera family, is seeking a part-time Substance Abuse Therapist to join our Mesa, AZ team. The role involves providing psychotherapy for adults and families, and facilitating IOP, SOP, and Aftercare groups using a structured curriculum. Evening hours may be required.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field, trauma-informed approach, and a valid AZ driver’s license. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work required.
• AzBBHE Licensure is preferred.
• Experience working with substance abuse issues and facilitating groups is preferred.
• Must be organized and reliable, trauma-informed, and able to individualize treatment.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong customer service skills.
• Fingerprints clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
• Must have a valid AZ driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and their families.
• Facilitate IOP, SOP, and Aftercare groups using the agency curriculum.
• Utilize community resources and referrals to enhance and expand treatment.
• Possibly provide individual and/or family therapy as needed.
