Job summary

EMPACT – Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, is seeking an entry-level Substance Use Therapist in Tempe, AZ. The role involves providing psychotherapy to adults and families, and facilitating IOP, SOP and Aftercare groups using a structured curriculum.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree in related fields and experience with substance abuse populations. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, with differential available, and a valid AZ driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work REQUIRED.
• AzBBHE Licensure is preferred.
• Experience facilitating groups required.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy for adults and families, assessing and treating as needed.
• Facilitate IOP, SOP, and Aftercare groups using the agency curriculum.
• Refer to community resources to enhance and expand treatment.
