Job summary

LK Jordan is seeking an experienced Submerged Arc Welder to join a busy steel fabrication team. This role offers consistent overtime, competitive pay, and long-term employment in a fast-paced shop environment.

The candidate will weld structural steel and heavy plate, read blueprints and welding symbols, and ensure quality through inspections. A full 2nd-shift schedule and ability to work 60+ hours weekly are required for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Previous Submerged Arc Welding experience required.
• Experience welding heavy plate or structural steel.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience using measuring tools and performing quality inspections.
• Must be available to work 60+ hours per week and on the full 2nd-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality Submerged Arc Welding on structural steel and heavy plate.
• Set up and operate SubArc welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Weld large structural components while meeting production and quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality.
• Safely operate material-handling equipment as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
