Job summary

Steel Fabricators, LLC is seeking full-time Structural Steel Welders for the 2nd shift to perform MIG welding, read blueprints, and ensure quality across structures and materials. You will set up equipment, follow safety protocols, and maintain a clean work area while meeting stringent tolerances.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, safety awareness, good attendance, and the ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Welding experience preferred and ability to pass a welders certification test.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment at all times.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Overtime availability is required for this second shift.

Job Description

We are seeking full-time Structural Steel Welders to join our 2nd Shift. Responsibilities include:

• Perform welding operations using MIG welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper safety protocols
• Inspect materials, structures, and products to ensure quality standards are met
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment

These positions do include overtime; our second shift schedule is Monday through Friday 5pm to 4:30am, and Saturday 5pm to 10pm.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Have knowledge of drawing language and symbols (for Fitter position)
• Are able to use steel hand working tools
• Previous welding experience preferred
• Pass a welders certification test
• Have the ability to safely operate overhead cranes
• Knowledge of minor welding machine maintenance is helpful
• Knowledge of oxy/acetylene torches and measuring devices, i.e. tapes, squares and levels
