LK Jordan & Associates is hiring 10 experienced Structural Welders for immediate Temp-to-Hire opportunities in Katy, TX. Pay ranges $24.00–$32.00/hr DOE with 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) and a Monday–Friday schedule. Openings: 10 – Hiring ASAP!

The Structural Welder will perform MIG and Flux-Cored welding on carbon steel, steel, and stainless steel in a shop environment, reading prints from work orders and fabricating or repairing equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of welding experience.
• Strong MIG and Flux-Cored welding experience.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Familiarity with iron workers, plasma cutters, pipe threaders, and grinders.
• Ability to read prints and work orders.
• Welding certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and Flux-Cored welding.
• Weld carbon steel, steel, and stainless steel.
• Read and follow instructions, prints, and work orders.
• Plan welding procedures, tools, and material requirements.
• Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, fitting, and welding various metals.
• Repair equipment using appropriate welding techniques and equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for welding.
• Set up, assemble, fit, and tack-weld parts.
• Build up worn or defective surfaces as required.
• Operate burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut material to required size and shape.
• Safely operate grinders and other fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
