Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an engineer to perform systems engineering across the lifecycle of SONAR hull arrays and sensors for submarine programs. You will coordinate with NAVSEA and partners to integrate contractor and government furnished systems.

The role includes technology investigations, trade studies, risk management, and ensuring producibility while addressing obsolescence and fleet issues in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0–5 years of post‑graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering from concept to post‑delivery support.
• Interface with NAVSEA, Naval Shipyards, NAVY Labs, UARCs and subcontractors.
• Conduct technology investigations, trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Identify obsolescence issues and plan technical refreshes.
