Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking engineers to support SONAR Hull Arrays systems from concept to testing and fleet support. You will contribute to LAB/LWWAA/HFCA arrays and Government Furnished Equipment integration, and engage with NAVSEA and Navy labs to resolve fleet issues.

The role requires a BS in engineering disciplines, 0–5 years of post-graduate experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, with preferred MS and project management experience in underwater acoustics

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0–5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering from concept through hardware/software integration and post-delivery support.
  • Interface with NAVSEA, Naval Shipyards, NAVY Labs, UARCs, sub-contractors and EB departments as needed.
  • Identify risks, conduct trade studies, and explore opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Validate producible end products through testing and qualification activities.
