Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an Entry Level Systems Engineer to assist with configuration engineering for submarine hull and mechanical systems. The role includes developing SRD Change Packages (SRDCPs), reviewing SRD revisions, and acting as Boat Lead for SRDs.

You will work with the Department TPQ Lead to gather metrics, plan audits, and drive quality improvements across OHIO, SEAWOLF, VIRGINIA, and SSGN programs. Some travel to shipyards for on-site support is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering.
• 0-1 years of post graduate engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense.

Responsibilities

• Develop SRD Change Packages (SRDCPs) and review hull/mechanical SRD revisions.
• Serve as Boat Lead for hull and mechanical system SRDs.
• Support the Department TPQ Lead with quarterly metrics, audits, and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary tasking and communicate with Navy customers.
