Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton is seeking a Program Representative to coordinate, manage, and execute Maintenance & Modernization work under NAVSEA contracts. You will engage with planning, engineering, purchasing, and ship's force to deliver on-time, on-budget results while upholding safety and quality.

The role combines program management with technical oversight, requiring strong communication, collaboration across EB sites, and occasional travel to other shipyards (≤10%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• 3+ years in EB, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, or Naval shipyard departments such as Program office, Operations, Engineering, Planning, Contracts, Finance, Ship's Management or combination thereof.
• BS degree or higher in Engineering.
• Experience with EB Overhaul and Repair engineering, operations, or contracts.
• Project management and cost performance metrics experience.
• Knowledge of submarine maintenance, safety, work execution procedures, program management, and availability certification.
• Experience with availability certification and Submarine Availability Completion Manual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and execute Maintenance & Modernization work via contracts to NAVSEA, NUWC, and other sponsors and partners.
• Develop and implement strategies to win competitive solicitations and plan maintenance availabilities.
• Coordinate work in Groton, at off-site locations, between EB sites and subcontractors.
• Manage execution of work safely, on time, and on budget with requisite quality in Groton or remote locations.
• Travel to other Shipyards as needed (less than 10%).
• Engage with planning, operations, engineering, purchasing, test, contracts, finance, ship's force, SUPSHIP Groton, and PMS 392; report progress and resolve issues.
