Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an engineer to analyze and troubleshoot deck fabrication and outfitting for Virginia and Columbia class submarines. You will adjudicate construction and vendor technical issues, interfacing with trades, foremen, and cognizant engineering to develop timely resolutions.

Required is a BS in an engineering field and 1–5 years post graduate experience, with preferred familiarity in NX/Team Center, welding, and NDT procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree or higher in a related engineering discipline.
• 1–5 years post graduate engineering experience.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot construction issues during deck fabrication and outfitting.
• Provide technical resolutions and interfaces with trades, shop foremen, and engineering teams.
• Use Teamcenter for review and coordination of construction work.
