Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 1-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Construction engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret shipbuilding specifications, design requirements, and contractual requirements.
• Deck-plate oversight to resolve construction problems and ensure EB policy compliance.
• Support and resolve complex construction issues to prevent schedule delays.
• Develop technical rationale to support approval of nonconforming conditions.
• Attend production meetings and drive actions such as ER/CR/CN/OTAR resolutions.
• Collaborate with engineers from other facets and companies.
• Develop and approve fixturing and lifting plans for site evolutions.
