Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Financial Services Subledger practice to lead complex finance transformation and technology modernization programs for insurance, banking, asset management, and alternative investment organizations.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, drive accounting and data solution design, and ensure successful delivery from strategy through deployment across large financial services clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience supporting finance transformation, investment accounting, subledger technology, financial systems implementation, accounting technology, or management consulting engagements.
• Experience leading project workstreams and managing teams responsible for delivering complex client engagements.
• Experience defining business, accounting, data, and reporting requirements and translating them into technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong understanding of financial services business processes, accounting operations, financial reporting, and data flows.
• Experience and strong understanding of financial products, including payments, deposits, loans, securities, debt, derivatives, insurance contracts, and reinsurance.
• Experience leading data migration, reconciliation, testing, or financial systems implementation activities.
• Experience collaborating with senior business and technology stakeholders in a client-facing environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25%-50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance transformation and technology-enabled accounting initiatives across financial services.
• Manage project workstreams and teams through delivery lifecycle from strategy to stabilization.
• Partner with client executives to drive solution design, decision-making, and program execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve operating models, finance processes, controls, and technology capabilities.
• Define accounting, data, and reporting requirements and design frameworks for engagements.
• Oversee development of functional specs, process docs, and operating models.
• Lead data migration, testing, and validation across implementations.
• Guide teams in analytics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
• Support client adoption and post-go-live activities.
