Job summary

The Society of Defense Financial Management is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to manage subcontracting across programs and bids in government contracting. You will own the full lifecycle from solicitations to award.

Collaborative team environment, strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential, with emphasis on FAR/CPSR compliance and effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline.
• 4+ years of procurement or subcontract administration experience with a federal government contractor.
• Working knowledge of the FAR and CPSR requirements.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, compliant subcontractor solicitations (RFPs) to support the company’s bids on federal opportunities.
• Review subcontractor proposals and evaluate pricing, schedule, and risk.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage subcontracts, modifications, and task orders in line with internal procedures and the FAR.
• Perform price and cost analysis as needed.
• Support the full procurement lifecycle, from early business development through award and administration of subcontracts of varying size, type, and complexity.
• Partner closely with subcontracts leadership, contracts staff, and program managers to keep programs on track.
• Build and maintain subcontract files that meet CPSR audit standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for subcontractors on proposal and contract matters, and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
