Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication with organizational skills.
• Knowledge of sponsor requirements and subrecipient regulations.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for human/animal subjects and COIs.
• Ability to manage a complex portfolio and remain accurate under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage outgoing subcontracts including review, coordination and documentation.
• Collaborate with contract/award managers to ensure flow-down terms.
• Negotiate subaward terms with sub recipients and supervise records in IRES/Workday.
• Review financials and performance history to evaluate risk and controls.
• Assess risk level of sub recipients and implement mitigation strategies.
• Interpret sponsored award documents to ensure obligations align with Yale and sponsor.
• Resolve issues in reporting/invoicing clauses and communicate resolutions to PI.
• Set up grant lines in the university financial system for post‑award activity.
• Create and manage supplier contracts within Yale’s financial system.
• Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff and sponsors while ensuring oversight.
