Harvard University’s Office for Sponsored Programs (within Financial Administration) seeks an experienced pre-award manager to oversee complex sponsored research portfolios. You will guide proposal development, manage multi-PI submissions, and ensure sponsor and university compliance across institutions.

Working under the Manager of Proposal Development, you will mentor staff, optimize processes, and coordinate with central offices to mitigate risk and improve submission quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic guidance for proposal development and long-range planning; shape concepts to enhance competitiveness.
• Lead and oversee development of complex, multi-PI, multi-site proposals with budgets, subawards, and compliance plans.
• Interpret funding announcements; translate requirements into clear workflows for faculty and staff.
• Serve as senior liaison to OSP and central units; resolve policy and risk issues and participate in workgroups.
• Oversee proposal data integrity and create dashboards to improve volume, quality, and success rates.
• Direct JIT responses for high-risk proposals; advise PIs on disclosures and coordinate with compliance offices.
• Oversee end-to-end JIT workflow for complex awards; train teams and monitor compliance.
