Job summary

Valmont Industries in Claremore, OK is seeking a Sub Arc Base Welder to perform flux-core sub-arc welding around a steel shaft, with alloy prep and ultrasonic testing support. Work solo or in a team environment on various projects to ensure quality and safety.

Shifts include 2nd (5:00pm–3:30am), 4th (5:00am–5:00pm), and 5th (5:00pm–5:00am). Starting pay is $29.35/hour, with potential to reach $32/hour by 6 months, plus $2/hour night shift differential. Valmont offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with sub-arc welding.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• High safety awareness and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pole sections onto base sled with an overhead crane.
• Preheat baseplate as required and apply a backing weld using GMAW.
• Operate sub-arc welder, monitor weld quality, and adjust amperage/wire speed per WPS.
• Ultrasonic testing preparation and minor weld repair as needed.
• Participate in LEAN activities and maintain safety practices.
