Valmont Industries is seeking a Seam Welder Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift to weld steel shafts using a Sub Arc Seam Welder. The role involves loading shafts with a conveyor or overhead crane, adjusting speeds and pressures, and ensuring weld quality with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications include at least 3 years of welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and AWS SAW/GMAW certification. Forklift certification and safety focus are required.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; frequent up to 20 pounds.
• Read blueprints and use tape measure.
• AWS welder operator qualification for SAW and GMAW required.
• Must be Valmont-trained and certified in forklift operation.

Mansioni

• Load steel shafts into Sub Arc Seam Welder using conveyor or overhead crane.
• Welder entire seam of steel shaft to make a pole.
• Monitor incoming steel quality and report substandard material.
• Operate straightener to straighten shafts post-weld.
• Read blueprints and verify finished product meets specs.
