Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in El Dorado, KS is hiring a Submerged Arc Seam Welder for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Mon-Sat). Starting wage is $26.32/hr plus $1.50/hr shift differential.

You will set up and operate flux core sub-arc seam welding machines to create continuous welds on pole shafts, following blueprints and safety rules. Essential duties include fixture setup, calculations for machine settings, and maintaining quality and production standards in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and welding training.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Experience with welding fixtures and parameter setup.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain flux core sub-arc welding equipment.
• Read blueprints, gather parts and follow procedures.
• Move pole shafts with overhead crane and maintain safety.
