Job summary

Regis in Watertown, CT is seeking a stylist-in-training for a temporary 90-day program designed to integrate an aspiring stylist into the salon environment while they learn the business and deliver excellent customer service.

The role supports management and other staff; duties include marketing the business, assisting customers, promoting services and products, and performing routine salon tasks. Eligibility for promotion to stylist requires licensing in the state and completion of the program.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license within 90 days of hire.
• Able to work in a dynamic salon environment.
• Demonstrates good time management, judgment, and multitasking.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Has computer knowledge including POS systems and data entry.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Market and grow the business.
• Observe other stylists/managers at work and ask relevant questions.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Control expenses.
• Promote and sell services and retail products.
• Answer telephones, stock and dust shelves, and sweep hair.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by manager.
