Job summary

Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time Studio Manager/Instructional Sculpture Lab Technician. The position supports the Visual Arts Department in the Winter Visual Arts Center on the Lancaster, PA campus, combining studio management with hands-on teaching.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ordering materials, supervising student workers, and facilitating safe use of tools; coordinating with Facilities & Operations; and assisting with exhibitions in the Russo

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or MFA is required.
• 3+ years of experience as an Instructional Lab Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of a wide range of sculpture materials, tools, and processes.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, design and fabricate equipment for sculpture studios.
• Order supplies for sculpture faculty and labs.
• Provide instruction and supervision to faculty and students using studio equipment.
• Hire, train, and supervise student workers.
• Support exhibitions in Russo Gallery and Phillips Museum.
