The role supports safety, regulatory compliance, and lab readiness for General and Organic Chemistry courses and upper-level labs.

The position requires a Bachelor's in chemistry or related field with 3+ years of lab experience; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field required.
• At least 3 years of relevant lab experience.
• Familiarity with lab instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory spaces and use for teaching and research.
• Maintain calibration, upkeep, and repair of equipment.
• Coordinate external service providers for instrument repairs and certifications.
• Prepare labs, reagents, and equipment for experiments in chemistry courses.
• Stockroom and inventory management; track chemical usage and budget.
• Promote safety protocols and liaise with college personnel and waste handlers.
• Perform routine maintenance and support accurate record-keeping.
