Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Playa Vista, California seeks a Studio IT Support Specialist who will combine helpdesk support with hands-on system administration. You will serve internal client teams, resolve hardware and software issues, and work with remote sites as needed.

This in-person role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Provides helpdesk-level coverage and supports internal clients per established process.
• Strong in client hardware and software; solid email/messaging troubleshooting; mid to advanced Windows OS knowledge.
• Familiar with distributed build systems; understands SAN/NAS/iSCSI storage and networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Provides helpdesk coverage and support for internal clients; coordinates and troubleshoots requests according to process.
• Solves IT issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services; collaborates with remote sites as needed.
• Delivers timely problem resolution or escalation to appropriate technical personnel; documents steps taken.
• Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures for IT support and customer service guidelines.
• Perform first and second level support for workstation and mobile systems; maintain end-user relationships.
• Engage with business units as a support resource and contribute to production teams.
• Communicate clearly across the organization and stay proactive in issue detection and resolution.
• Assist with on-call rotations, system maintenance, and inventory management of team resources.
