Job summary

UNR Med IT is seeking a student worker to join our Helpdesk team. You will field calls and chats for IT support, clearly explain solutions, and route complex issues to a Med IT Technician when needed. You will support UNRMed operations by assisting with IT needs for classrooms and clinics.

Hours: up to 20 per week during the semester (up to 40 hours in breaks), 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday. Compensation starts at $12.25 per hour, with a flexible schedule based on class availability.

The UNR MED IT department is recruiting a student worker to join our Helpdesk team. As a member of the Med IT Helpdesk, you will support Med school operations by fielding phone calls and chat inquiries for IT support. You should be able to clearly communicate solutions and troubleshoot issues via phone or chat, or appropriately route support calls to a Med IT Technician for follow‑up.

Required Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of modern enterprise business technology (operating systems, enterprise applications)
• Customer service experience

Schedule

• Up to 20 hours per week during the semester, up to 40 hours per week during summer and winter breaks (flexible schedule based on class availability)
• Hours of operation: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday‑Friday

Compensation

Grade Student Level1–$12.25 per hour
